Phillip Miller
Phil Miller was born, raised and attended school in Hamilton Ontario, starting his art career in Montreal Quebec as a technical illustrator for Canadair Ltd. From there he went to the Avro Aircraft art department in Toronto, leaving Avro two years after the cancellation of the Arrow project he moved on to Hamilton and London, Ontario working in commercial art and eventually setting up his own commercial art / advertising agency.
In 1991 he and his wife Jean moved to Magnetawan in Northern Ontario to manage a children's camp. From there they moved on to continue the art career drawing and painting in the Thirty thousand Island area of Georgian Bay.
Over the years Phil has been fortunate to work for many national and international companies producing promotional visual art. It is now time to apply the skills developed over these years to his passion for Canadian history. Currently working on great lakes lighthouses, UN peace keeping and glimpses of our pioneer settlers including two 16' X 8' murals for the Canadian Coast Guard base in Parry Sound. |

The lighthouse warns ships of a dangerous shoal two miles off shore.
This Lighthouse is one of six "Imperial Towers" that stands 87 feet above the water and the light was first scheduled to operate on April 1, 1859.
